Dialing basics

From inside the University the telephone system looks like a very large home telephone system: dial an internal number and it will work. From outside (but inside the local area Göttingen) you need to dial "39" first. If you are more far away you need to dial the area code "551" also, and prefix this one with an additiall zero.

For example one of those seminar rooms is reachable by dialing

Note the presende/absence of the zero of "0551".
Of course the spaces " " are inserted just for visual recognition and are not actually dialed
